About Springfield, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Springfield, Missouri is located in Greene County, and with over 167,000 residents as of 2017, it is the third largest city in the state by population. A regional hub that boasts large city amenities as well as small-town hospitality, Springfield is often referred to as the “Birthplace of Route 66” and “Queen City of the Ozarks”. Much of the economy is built on the healthcare industry, and the two top employers in the city include Mercy Health System and CoxHealth. Many young adults also move to the area for education, as three universities call the city home: Missouri State University, Evangel University, and Drury University.

Springfield is a great place to live and to visit. Top attractions include Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium and Fantastic Caverns. Families with young children may like a trip to the Dickerson Park Zoo or Discovery Center of Springfield, while hunters may prefer a stop into the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum. Despite its location within a metropolitan environment, outdoor attractions are also available at the Springfield Botanical Gardens, Sequiota Park, and the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.

Springfield has been labeled “America’s Wildest Weather City” by Forbes magazine, as conditions vary dramatically throughout the year. Winter weather is cool to cold, and average daily high temperatures reach into the 40s. However, freezing conditions and snowfall are also typical of the winter season here, so residents need to prepare with the right gas or electric furnace at home.

Summer weather is entirely different in the region. High temperatures often reach the upper-80s, but thermostat readings into the 90s or even triple-digits aren’t out of the question. Humidity levels can also be oppressive, so it is important that homes and businesses here are equipped with a reliable central air conditioner. Central A/C is preferred to window units, as these systems provide consistent cooling and are also safe, quiet, and easy to operate.
